Wave (2005)
"Wave" is a single-channel digital video that blends footage of girls in white dresses swimming underwater with reverse-motion imagery of Atlantic Ocean waves. "Wave" alludes to a power below the surface, myths of nymphs carried out to sea and a subtext of girls gone missing. The video blurs the boundaries between shore and shoreline, swimming and drowning, captivity and freedom.
